Global Festival

Join the Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) for the 45th Annual Global Festival on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM in Gullen Mall near the Undergraduate Library.

This is an exciting event where the Wayne State University and Detroit community celebrates cultural diversity throughout this colorful afternoon. Community members are welcome to stop by to sample various ethnic foods and international student organizations! The event will also be adjoined by the Study Abroad Fair, where you can meet with professors and past study abroad participants to learn about international opportunities at the University. 

If you are part of an organization that would like to participate in the Global Festival, you will need the following documents: 

1. Fill out the Registration Form. If you cannot access the form, please contact Yuliya Harris at ea7371@wayne.edu.

2. Read the guidelines as outlined in the Participant Handbook

3. Pay the $25 fee for half a booth or $50 for full booth. The booth includes a 10x10' tent with two tables at the front for sale of goods, two tables in the back for set-up, and two chairs. To pay the fee, please click here and go to the "OISS Services and Events." 

4. Pick up a Food Permit from the OISS Office in 416 Welcome Center on September 17, 2015 from noon - 2:00 PM. You must bring $5 for the permit. Please fill out this form and bring it with you to pick up the permit.
