GLACIER Tax Prep (formerly CINTAX) is a web-based tax return preparation system designed primarily for nonresident alien students, scholars, researchers and others to aid in preparing their 2011 U.S. federal income tax return – Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ. Use is limited to foreign nationals at Wayne State University.

Documents and information to gather before logging into GLACIER Tax Prep include:

• Passport
• Immigration Docs (I-20 or DS-2019)
• SSN or ITIN (if you have been assigned one)
• Address Information (U.S. and Foreign)
• U.S. Entry and Exit Dates - Current and Past
• Academic Institution Information
• Forms W-2, 1042-S and/or 1099 (if you received one)
• A copy of your 2010 federal tax return, if you filed one in 2010

Before you begin tax assistance with GLACIER Tax Prep online, we would like you to read the following disclaimer:

• The GLACIER Tax Prep program provides FREE tax assistance to persons whose finances are not complicated.
• GLACIER Tax Prep is a software program that is designed exclusively for foreign students, scholars, teachers, researchers, trainees, and their dependents who are nonresident aliens to aid in preparing U.S. federal income tax Forms 1040NR and 1040NR-EZ.
