2012-2013 Academic Year Estimates

Please Note:  The following cost of attendance estimates are summarized here for your convenience.  These estimates are based on the assumptions that you will be attending classes in the Fall and Winter semesters only and that a full time undergraduate student is registered for 12 credit hours and a part-time undergraduate student is registered for 6 credit hours.  They should be viewed as estimates only and, as such, may differ from your actual attendance costs.  Your actual cost of attendance will be dependent on the number of credits registered for, the school and program you are in, and will include any other fees associated with your courses.

These cost figures are subject to change so we encourage you to visit the official Wayne State Tuition and Fee Schedule located at http://reg.wayne.edu/students/tuition_and_fee_charts.php for the most up to date information.

* An undergraduate international student is required by the Department of Homeland Security regulations to be enrolled as a full-time student. Wayne State University defines full-time as at least 12 credit hours each term. The number of credit hours carried each term may vary depending on departmental requirements. The above chart is an average tuition based on 12 credit hours per semester. Actual tuition will vary depending on program and school. Fees include the Omnibus and Registration fees. Tuition charges are subject to change by the Wayne State Board of Governors. WSU's Tuition Calculator: http://apps.reg.wayne.edu/tuition/

** Many international students take courses throughout the calendar year to complete their programs more quickly. It is important to take into account the total cost in planning for financial support.

HEALTH INSURANCE IS MANDATORY. YOU MUST PURCHASE INSURANCE PRIOR TO REGISTRATION UNLESS YOU QUALIFY FOR A WAIVER BY PROVIDING DOCUMENTATION OF COMPARABLE COVERAGE AND COMPLETING THE APPROPRIATE WAIVER FORM. YOU MUST ALSO BE PREPARED TO MEET INCREASING COSTS, DUE TO INFLATION AND OTHER FLUCTUATING ECONOMIC CONDITIONS, ON A CONTINUING BASIS.

We hope you find this information helpful in planning your studies at Wayne State University.
