For the Wayne State Tuition and Fee Schedule, go to: http://reg.wayne.edu/pdf-tuition/tuition-fee-chart-fall-2010.pdf
EFFECTIVE DATE: September 1, 2010 (fees subject to change without notice by action of the Wayne State University Board of Governors). All amounts are shown in U.S. Funds.
DEPENDENT I-20 Requirements: Add $6,000 for the first dependent and $4,800 for each additional dependent. Commuting Canadian I-20s are issued for the student only, and cannot include dependents.
A graduate international student is required by U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS - Immigration and Naturalization Services) regulations to be enrolled as a full-time student. Wayne State University defines full-time as at least 8 credit hours each term. The number of credit hours carried each term may vary depending on departmental requirements. Fees include the Omnibus and Registration fees. Tuition charges are subject to change by the Wayne State Board of Governors.
Many international students take courses throughout the calendar year to complete their programs more quickly. It is important to take into account the total cost in planning for financial support.
HEALTH INSURANCE IS MANDATORY. YOU MUST PURCHASE INSURANCE PRIOR TO REGISTRATION UNLESS YOU QUALIFY FOR A WAIVER BY PROVIDING DOCUMENTATION OF COMPARABLE COVERAGE AND COMPLETING THE APPROPRIATE WAIVER FORM. YOU MUST ALSO BE PREPARED TO MEET INCREASING COSTS, DUE TO INFLATION AND OTHER FLUCTUATING ECONOMIC CONDITIONS, ON A CONTINUING BASIS.
We hope you find this information helpful in planning your studies at Wayne State University.
